CALGARY – Both of the eastbound lanes have reopened, after a collision between a semi-trailer and a truck.

The collision happened just after 11 a.m. on Tuesday, near the intersection with Old Banff Coach Road.

Witnesses say a white car was travelling eastbound when it lost control and crossed into the westbound lanes, forcing a westbound semi-trailer to swerve to avoid hitting it.

No major injuries were reported in the collision, but one of the eastbound lanes of the highway remains closed.

The semi then crossed over into the eastbound lanes, hitting a truck.

The driver of the white car was taken to hospital with a minor shoulder injury.
