TORONTO – The City of Toronto has cancelled the extreme cold weather alert that was issued on March 15.

An alert is called when there is a risk to homeless people from extreme cold weather or extreme winter weather conditions.

It is normally called in the morning when Environment Canada predicts a coming overnight temperature of -15 degrees Celsius or lower without the windchill.

Monday’s high for Toronto is -3 with an evening low of -9.
