TORONTO – A minor fire forced the evacuation of a downtown Toronto townhouse complex early Wednesday morning.
The fire started around 5 a.m. at the four-story building on Jarvis Street between Wellesley and Isabella.

Crews were able to quickly contain the fire which appears to have started on the veranda of the top floor unit.
No injuries were reported but traffic was diverted in the area for over an hour as fire crews clear the scene.
Jarvis Street was reopened at 6:40 a.m.
