Toronto Morning: What you need to know today

TORONTO – Snow and blowing snow will make driving and traveling difficult today as a winter weather system moves it way through Southern Ontario Wednesday.

A mix of snow and rain will begin to hit the Greater Toronto Area around 7 a.m. this morning.

It will then change primarily to snow, at times heavy. Environment Canada predicts a snowfall amount of 10 centimetres with the temperature falling to minus 5 degrees Celsius by this afternoon.

Much of Souther Ontario is currently under a special weather statement.

WEATHER

Cloudy. Wet snow mixed with rain beginning early this morning then changing to snow at times heavy this morning. Snowfall amount 10 cm. Local blowing snow. Wind north 30 km/h gusting to 50. Temperature falling to minus 5 this afternoon.
