ANDREA MARTIN – Actress, comedian and SCTV legend Andrea Martin joins the national edition of The Morning Show. The Tony Award-winner is currently finishing up her memoir titled, Andrea Martin’s Lady Parts, which will be released later this fall. She will also star in the new Canadian sitcom Working the Engels, slated to premiere in 2014.

WORKING THE ENGELS – The cast of new television sit-com, Working The Engels, joins The Morning Show. The half-hour comedy, which makes its debut on Global Wednesday night, follows a family who must band together to keep their heads above water when their father and breadwinner passes away, leaving them a mountain of debt.

ELVIS STOJKO – Former Canadian figure skating champion Elvis Stojko will be playing the role of Billy Flynn in the musical CHICAGO for a week at Toronto’s Princess of Wales Theatre from March 17-31. This production of CHICAGO pays homage to both the original 1975 Bob Fosse version and re-envisioned the John Kander/Fred Ebb/Bob Fosse musical.

PRIORITY NEIGHBOURHOODS – Toronto could soon increase the number of so-called “priority neighbourhoods” from 22 to 31 if staff recommendations make it through city council. Since 2001, the city has focused private and public funding on a collection of “priority” neighbourhoods – though the areas have since been renamed “neighbourhood improvement areas.”

DOWNTON ABBEY EXHIBIT – Spadina Museum is hosting a major exhibit of costumes from one of the most popular and critically acclaimed period dramas ever produced, Downton Abbey.  The exhibit features 20 costumes from the production, a selection of dresses and accessories from the City of Toronto collection of the same era and Downton Abbey-themed tours of the restored house.
