MARSDEN, Sask. – The pilot of a glider plane was injured after he attempted an emergency landing near Marsden, Saskatchewan on Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened around 1 p.m. 15 kilometres southwest of the community located near the Alberta border.
The 57-year-old pilot from Marsden was attempting to make an emergency landing on a secondary road when the plane hit a power line.
He was taken to hospital in Wainwright, Alta. for treatment of minor injuries.
Power in the Manitou Lake area was knocked out for a short period of time.
The Transportation Safety Board has been advised of the crash and will be investigating.
