The NFL season is a ways off yet, but Shane and Mike were lucky enough to have two members of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders stop by the Weekend Morning News Saturday. Sydney Durso and Emma Mary are in Edmonton for a performance at the Rush game.

AVIATION- There’s something for everyone at the Alberta Aviation Museum during Women in Aviation Day. The museum has five guest speakers giving their insight to different facets of the aviation world. Mike speaks with Tom Hinderks and Victoria Hinderks to hear all about the event.

EVERY WOMAN – Shed your winter coat at the door and inhale your first breath of spring at Edmonton’s inaugural Every Woman Festival. Shane sits down with Rowena Cui to learn more about the festival. There’s also a performance by Olivia Wik.

SELF DEFENSE – Teena Lantz, who teaches self defense classes for women, will be performing Aikido demos at the Every Woman Festival. Mike gets a hands-on demonstration.

THEATRE – The St. Albert Theatre Troupe is putting on a production of “The Spider or the Fly?” by Sam Bobrick. Mike sits down with the director Louise Large and actor Christine Lesiak to hear more about the show.

GOLF – The PGA of Alberta’s consumer golf show is going on this weekend. Shane speaks with Murray McCourt from The Ranch Golf and Country Club to learn more about the event.

WOMEN’S FASHION – At the Every Woman Show, there will be a fashion show, showcasing local designers. Shane speaks with Amanda Ash for the details.

SCARS – The folks from the Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS) are back. This time they’ve brought a few cats with them.
