LETHBRIDGE – Charges are pending against a 16-year-old Lethbridge student after school officials discovered what appeared to be an incendiary device in a back pack.
Lethbridge Regional Police responded to Lethbridge Collegiate Institute around 10 a.m. Thursday, after the school’s administrator reported they’d confiscated the device from a back-pack the student brought to school.
Officers took possession of the object and ensured it was rendered safe.
They add nobody was injured and the student was taken into custody without incident.
The matter is ongoing and charges are pending.
