WINNIPEG – Significant overnight and morning snowfall has created a slow commute in Winnipeg and closed many rural Manitoba schools.

Hanover, Seine River, Sunrise, Red River Valley, Borderland, Evergreen, Lord Selkirk and Interlake school divisions and Sagkeeng First Nation School are all closed. Winnipeg’s Louis Riel School Division has no busses running outside the Perimeter Highway.

Visibility is poor on highways and the morning commute in Winnipeg is slow and treacherous as multiple crashes are reported on snowy city roads.

Route 90, Route 52 (St. Mary’s Road), Lagimodiere Boulevard and Pembina Highway are among the main Winnipeg routes showing major delays.
