REGINA – First it was the cold, and now it’s the snow.

March continues to roar in like a lion, leaving drivers to cope with significant snowfall Wednesday morning.

Regina police tweeted about an eight car pileup on Ring Road and Dewdney just after 8:00 a.m., and Global Regina also received a tweet about an accident on Victoria Ave East and Prince of Wales Drive.

In Regina, the snow should continue to until late this afternoon with a total of 4 cm accumulating on the ground.

Later this evening more snow is expected to fall overnight and into Thursday with another 5 cm of the white stuff expected.

If you are planning on hitting the highways on Wednesday make sure you visit the Highway Hotline before you travel to make sure it is safe, several highways in southern Saskatchewan are listed as travel not recommended including highway 1 from Regina to Moose Jaw.
