Sarah Murkin-Debeuckelaere has been credited for keeping figure skating alive in the small town of Hazelridge, Man., just outside Winnipeg.
The 28-year-old spends at least five days a week at the rink, coaching everyone from two-and-a-half-year-olds to adults.
