Some school closures today due to weather

There are some school closures today in B.C. due to the wintry weather conditions.

School District 78, Fraser-Cascade, has closed all of its schools due to weather, and no buses are running.

All the schools in Chilliwack – School District 33 – are also closed today due to high snow volume and safety concerns.

In Abbotsford, Aberdeen Elementary will be closed for the day due to a power outage in that area. Otherwise, all schools in the Abbotsford School District will be open today, and all busses running this morning.

Schools in Shawnee Mission School District are closed today.

Due to the ice storm in the Fraser Valley, Shortreed Elementary, ACSS and Betty Gilbert Middle schools were originally closed, but are now all opening late today.

In addition, the University of the Fraser Valley has cancelled all of the classes held at the Hope campus. The other campuses remain open at this time.
