WATCH: Olympic gold medallist wins fish toss

WINNIPEG – Jill Officer was crowned one of curling’s queens when she won a gold medal at the Olympics with Team Canada, skipped by Jennifer Jones.

But Officer does more than curl – she also throws a mean frozen fish.

Watch her beat Morning News co-host Derek Taylor in a toss near Portage Avenue and Main Street, and bestow the obligatory kiss on a fish.

The frozen fish toss is an annual event at the Gimli Ice Festival in Gimli, Man., which took place on the weekend.
