CALGARY – A mother and father accused of killing their son made their first court appearance on Thursday.
Rodica and Emil Radita are both charged with first-degree murder in the death of their 15-year-old son Alex.

The young boy died after being found in medical distress in his Citadel home in May of last year.
An autopsy determined the 15-year-old died from a bacterial infection, which he contracted due to complications from neglect and starvation from Type 1 diabetes.
His parents currently have an agent representing them both, but have been advised that they each need their own legal counsel for the charges.
They are scheduled to appear in court again on March 13, and will remain behind bars until then.
