After a hard-fought game against China, the Canadian men advance to the curling final in Sochi.

Canada defeated China 10-6 in a semifinal game in Sochi, meaning Canada is guaranteed at least a silver medal in men’s curling.

It was a tight game throughout, with Canada leading just by one or two points, right up until the 9th end. The Canadians capped the end with a great set of shots, to score three points going into the final end. China had a nearly impossible task of scoring four in the final end.

The Canadians played solid defence and a comeback eventually became mathematically impossible, leading to the 10-6 final.

The Canadian women are also in the finals, after a win against Great Britain earlier Wednesday. They go for gold against Sweden on Thursday.
