BOSTON – The latest blast of snow to hit New England dumped more than 30 centimetres in part of Massachusetts and packed heavy winds that left thousands without power on Cape Cod.
Coastal areas in Maine and south of Boston appeared to get the worst of the storm overnight.
Almost 40 centimetres of snow was reported in Sandwich, Mass., and 25 centimetres were reported in New Bedford and Plymouth.
More than 40 centimetres were reported in Hancock, Maine.
The Department of Transportation says it deployed 375 trucks statewide at the height of the storm Saturday night.
Wind gusts of more than 80 kilometres an hour were reported Saturday on Cape Cod.
