Just in time for Valentine’s Day, a group calling themselves VanCupid is helping to spread some love around the city.
VanCupid, who wish to remain anonymous, got their inspiration from the VanKiss campaign in December.
“We loved how it created that whimsical, magical, fun experience throughout the city,” said a spokesperson for VanCupid.
“It’s the nostalgia we all had as kids, to get Valentine’s cards as kids.”
The group has put five Valentine’s Day mailboxes around the West End and they have filled them with vintage cards. The cards are blank and anyone is encourage to take one and give it to their Valentine.
They can then share their experience on social media using the hashtag #vancupid.
“I just like the tweets that say ‘these put a smile on my face’,” said the spokesperson.
The mailboxes are located at:
- Robson and Thurlow
- Outside Whole Foods on Robson Street
- Outside the West End Community Centre
- Near the corner of Denman and Davie
- Bute Plaza on Davie Street
