If Anna Kendrick had a preference from the front row of Packham’s New York Fashion Week show Tuesday, she wasn’t giving it away. The actress, who starred in “Pitch Perfect,” has developed a poker face as she makes the rounds at New York Fashion Week.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Packham, the Londoner who has dressed Kate Middleton and numerous Hollywood stars, said in a backstage interview she was partly inspired by the loose silhouettes and chunky jewel embellishments popular in the 1970s.

Her particular muse for some looks? The ’70s glamour puss Bianca Jagger. Packham’s ode to Mick’s ex included loose satin jumpsuits in red with chunky jewel accents.

Packham trimmed beaded cocktail dresses with feathers and sent out a long ostrich-feather coat in blue.

The mood was playful disco in spots and classic elegant in others, thanks to another era in fashion to inspire Packham: the 1930s.
