Cardston RCMP is issuing a warning to the public regarding a high risk violent sex offender released from jail Friday.
Keegan Spearcheif recently spent nearly three years at the Grande Cache Institution for a number of charges including two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of assault causing bodily harm.
The 28-year-old has a violent past having served time for other charges including commit sexual assault with a weapon.
Cardston RCMP say it is issuing this information in the belief that officers believe there is a risk of significant harm to the health and safety of the public, and in particular, adult women.
The public is advised to take suitable precautions and not embark on any form of vigilante action.
Spearchief is described as an Aboriginal man, 189 cm tall with brown eyes and brown hair.
