Sport: Bobsleigh

Age: 26

Hometown: Zenon Park, Sask.

Accomplishments:

  • 2013 World Champion.
  • 2012-2013 World Cup Champion.

Interesting Fact: As a rookie, it was Chelsea Valois’s turn to be the brakeman for Kailie Humphries’ sled. Humphries wins with whoever she’s paired with, and Vailos was no exception. They took home the World Championship and World Cup in 2013. Valois will be the brakeman on the second Canadian sled, piloted by Jenny Ciochetti, in Sochi.

Chances: She won’t have as easy a time winning without Humphries piloting her sled but, paired with Ciochetti, Valois can’t be overlooked as a potential medal contender.
