VERNON — Vernon’s Mayor, city councillors and staff are reflecting and remembering Patrick Nicol.
The longtime councillor passed away Wednesday night at Vernon Jubilee Hospital, succumbing to his battle with cancer at the age of 64.
“His length of service on Council was amongst the longest of any councillor in our province,” according to a City of Vernon press release.
“His dedication to his community was a foundation of his life and work. We will all greatly miss his wisdom and kindness, as well as his efforts to make his community a better place.”
