WHAT MAKES OLGA RUN? – Author Bruce Grierson and the main focus of his new book, Olga Kotelko, join The Morning Show to talk about the true story of a scientific marvel. Kotelko is a 94-year-old Canadian who started her athletic career at the age of 77. Grierson’s new book looks at how and why certain men and women from around the world are able to compete vigorously at an older age.

OSCAR NOMINATIONS – Film journalist Jason Anderson joins us in-studio to talk about the 2014 edition of the highly anticipated Oscar nominations. Up to 10 movies may be nominated for best picture and this year’s crowd includes such movies as “12 Years a Slave,” “Gravity” and “American Hustle.”

STUDIO Y – Hamoon Ekhtiari, Director of Studio Y at MaRS, discusses the program’s inaugural cohort made up of 26 young people from across Ontario. Studio Y includes nine months of intensive training and mentoring to build and refine participants’ leadership, social innovation and entrepreneurial skills to spur social change in their communities and across the province.
