CALGARY- Still looking for a fun way to ring in the New Year? There are many family-friendly events happening around town that will make for a memorable way to welcome 2014.

The City of Calgary is hosting a couple of events, with the first being a family pool party at the Village Square Leisure Centre. From 4:30 p.m.-6 p.m., a DJ will play music while Calgarians play in the wave pool, do arts and crafts, eat treats and maybe even win prizes. Regular admission is in effect.

Then starting at 9 p.m., the New Year’s Eve Family Dance Party kicks off at city hall’s Municipal Atrium. People are asked to dress in white, neon, or anything that glows in the dark. There will be many outdoor activities including a light show, skating, crafts, fire spinners and an inflatable maze. There will also be an early countdown for the kiddies who can’t stay up until midnight.
