White House confident they can sustain a presidential veto should Congress reject Iran deal

The White House expressed confidence Monday that it has enough votes to sustain a presidential veto should Congress reject the Iran deal. Press Secretary Josh Earnest said about 150 House Democrats supported the framework for the deal in May; a framework the final agreement “exceeded.” However, Earnest said the administration is not taking anything “for granted,” citing the campaign by administration officials to convince lawmakers and the American public of the agreement.
