Help For Headaches Fund Raiser

The health charity Help for Headaches has created a headache and migraine classification chart – called a Headache Types poster, that will be launched at a community fund raiser – Saturday, June 24th, in London at the South London Community Centre at 1119 Jalna Blvd.,  from 9am to 12noon. The poster allows you to compare your associated symptoms, with what Canadian specialists have said, and to grasp a clearer picture as to what headache type they suspect. This chart will jumpstart the dialogue on headache between patients and physicians. The guide will also eliminate guesswork, narrow options for treatment choices, and is great for home analysis. The poster was reviewed medically by Headache Neurologists. Drs. Christine Lay (Toronto), Werner Becker (Calgary) and Elizabeth Leroux (Calgary). This guide discusses 9 types of headaches with columns for Location (of the head), Frequency (of the headache), Duration (of the headache) and Special Notes (for each category). The 2 topics that will be widely discussed at the poster launch include Chronic Migraine, and Post-Traumatic Headache (as a result of a fall, or injury) 

The poster can be viewed for free on our charity website at www.headache-help.org. Larger 12 x 18 inch print copies can be purchased for $5. at the event.

A Silent Auction fund raiser will run concurrently with 40-50 prizes to bid on. The grand auction prize is a $3625. prize donated by Via Rail Canada. Additional support was received from Allergan Canada. This is a free migraine event that offers Goodie bags, Complimentary Coffee and Breakfast Treats.
