Lisa MacGregor
Anchor/Reporter
Lisa MacGregor is the Anchor of Global Edmonton’s Global News Morning Weekend and a Reporter during the week.
Before joining Global Edmonton, she worked as a sports and news anchor/reporter for Global Calgary and at the CBC Edmonton covering everything from the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, pro golf, the CFL to breaking news, political affairs, and feature stories.
Lisa completed her Bachelor of Communications degree on the Gold Coast of Australia at Griffith University, after earning a Broadcast News diploma at SAIT in Calgary, and most recently completed the Kiplinger Fellowship in Covering Political Discourse and Saving Democracy in Ohio.
She was also a fellow in Solution Hack for Journalists by The Lookout Station and Disrupt Design in Spain on climate change.
Born and raised Edmontonian and feels great pride to be back in her hometown working in her dream career while being closer to family.
When she is not working, Lisa spends a lot of time biking and walking after giving up owning a vehicle and thrifts her fashion finds and anchor desk outfits at Goodwill. She also tends to her urban farm and backyard chickens, beekeeping, golfing, restoring vintage furniture, cooking, and travelling.
