Kevin was born and raised in Toronto. Attended the Claude Watson School for the Arts, the first arts school of its kind in Canada. Acting, singing, dancing and visual art consumed his youth. Kevin continued with the Arts program in high school until a classmate (multiple major tennis champion Daniel Nestor) suggested he take up tennis. Kevin trained for three years at the national tennis centre before heading to the University of Tulsa on a scholarship.
During his 3rd year of university Kevin pursued sports broadcasting. In 1996 he was hired by NBC in Joplin, Missouri. After running their news bureau in Kansas for more than a year, he decided to go after the job he really wanted, anchoring and reporting sports. In 1997, Kevin accepted the job of weekend sports anchor for Global Television here in Calgary. It was a great decision, Kevin thinks the west is the best and is here to stay.
