Daintre Christensen
Traffic Anchor/Co-Host
Daintre Christensen is the traffic anchor and co-host for Edmonton’s #1 morning newscast, Global News Morning.
Since 2008, she has been the trusted guide for Edmonton and area drivers navigating the busy morning commute.
Daintre volunteers for several community donation drives throughout the year and enjoys emceeing events supporting the Edmonton Humane Society, the Valley Zoo Development Society, and the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. She is also a longtime supporter of the MS Bike from Leduc to Camrose.
Daintre is a member of Ontario’s Nipissing First Nation, an Ojibwe, and Algonquin community whose ancestors have lived on and around Lake Nipissing for more than 9,000 years.
She is always honoured to share her experiences as an Indigenous woman and was especially proud of her contribution for the Global News Special “Journey Towards Reconciliation.”
When she is away from the camera, Daintre enjoys spending her time with animal groups, specifically volunteering for the Alberta Homeward Hound Rescue Bureau, where she has fostered seven dogs (and counting).
