After graduating from the University of Western Ontario with a Master of Arts in Journalism, Ashley began her career in her hometown at Global Toronto in 2012. She started as an editorial assistant, producer on The Morning Show, and as a field/chase producer responsible for collecting stories on Canadian athletes heading to the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.
Ashley then moved a province over and joined Global Winnipeg as a reporter/anchor in early 2014. Joining the team in Manitoba during the coldest winter in over 100 years meant she got very familiar with her parka and reporting anything and everything frozen. Ashley also nationally covered the devastating 2014 Manitoba flood, Rinelle Harper’s brutal attack, and was live on the red carpet for the 2014 Juno Awards.
Now, Ashley’s back home at Global Toronto as a reporter and field producer, most recently producing Global Toronto’s coverage of the Toronto International Film Festival.
